Privacy Policy

Effective November 2, 2026

The Book of Lessons is operated by Vitality Safety Group LLC, a company in Georgia, USA. This page explains what the service keeps, why it keeps it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address and date of birth, when you give them.
  • What you write in the book: your answers, the chapters written from them, your lessons, reflections and any messages you send through the app.
  • Photos you choose to upload, such as a cover photo.
  • Details your family members or contributors add when you ask them to remember something with you, and the names and email addresses you give us to invite them.
  • Basic technical information needed to run and protect the service.

How it is used

Only to run the service: to sign you in, save your book, write and store your chapters, show your book to the people you invite, keep the account secure, and answer you when you ask for help. We do not use what you write for advertising.

AI processing

When you ask the app to write a chapter, rewrite one, deepen a lesson or answer a question about your own writing, the text you entered is sent to an AI model so it can produce that result. It is processed for that purpose and returned to your book.

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising networks, ad trackers or cross-app tracking inside the app, and your stories are not used to target advertising to you or anyone else.

Who can see your book

Your book is private by default. Chapters become visible to the people you invite, or to anyone with the link, only when you set them that way. Our staff can see accounts and content in order to run, support and moderate the service. Our hosting, AI and payment providers process data on our behalf.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment processor. Card details are entered on their secure checkout and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only confirmation that a payment was made.

Content that is not allowed

Objectionable content is not allowed. This includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, spam, someone else's private information posted without consent, and anything unlawful. Any chapter, reflection or contribution can be reported from the app with the Report option, and you can block a family member or contributor so their words no longer appear to you. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks these rules; accounts that keep breaking them can be closed.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your book for as long as your account is open. To delete your account and the book in it, open Settings › Delete my account. That removes the account, the chapters, the reflections and the invitations held under it. You can also ask us by email and we will do it for you.

Children

Accounts are for adults. A child may read the book with a parent or guardian, and chapters can be written in a shorter telling for a younger reader, but we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No service can promise perfect security, so please keep your password to yourself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
